Too little, too late: the sting operation has ensured that Muslims will not be voting for Humayun and the TMCβ s Muslim votebank is safe. According to the CSDS, the BJP received 50% of Hindu votes while the TMC received 75% of Muslim votes. Thatβs the underlying context to the arrest.
If the allegation pertains to a solitary transaction of 20 cr from Abhishek Banerjee, you can only imagine how much money IPAC must be making for this. They have been working for the TMC for 6 years and they also have the DMK and YSR Congress as clients. A few others too. Chandel is probably one of the wealthiest NLU grads around.
P.S. Yes, I left out the BJP, but as I understand it Prashant Kishor worked pro bono for Modi and Nitish Kumar in 2014. Following Modiβs win (which would have happened without him anyway) he got the media to portray him as a big genius and got other parties to sign him up for big bucks. Thatβs how IPAC was set up.
