Too little, too late: the sting operation has ensured that Muslims will not be voting for Humayun and the TMC’ s Muslim votebank is safe. According to the CSDS, the BJP received 50% of Hindu votes while the TMC received 75% of Muslim votes. That’s the underlying context to the arrest.
If the allegation pertains to a solitary transaction of 20 cr from Abhishek Banerjee, you can only imagine how much money IPAC must be making for this. P.S. Yes, I left out the BJP, but as I understand it Prashant Kishor worked pro bono for Modi and Nitish Kumar in 2014. Following Modi’s win (which would have happened without him anyway) he got the media to portray him as a big genius and got other parties to sign him up for big bucks. That’s how IPAC was set up.
