Cannot express in words how much i agree woth this.
How do you define a softie? Somebody who has a wife and kids at home and wants to go back to them maybe?
I think if you don’t have any work for the day, you can go home after 7/8pm. Or else even if you have work and can manage you can finish it from home. Disputes practice specific.
Most people are leaving early these days, by 7/8 PM, because of a work drought.
I don't think any firm exists where work stops at 7. This isn't a law firm specific thing, no job in corporate offers this level of flexibility. If circumstances allow, maybe you can consider switching to government jobs, policy roles etc?
What lies my friend. Delhi disputes perhaps yes, but even then you're supposed be available. Coverage can't leave until NT does and other partners leave by sometimes 9/10. Bombay disputes is worse off.
it was my dream place for an internship but I wasn't able to get one. oh well
Bombay law chambers is the obvious answer here, associates are allowed to go home after lunch + 2 days wfh. The associates are overworked quite a bit though.
Really not sure why you would have this opinion. It kills me to work even after going home
I don't know what the right answer is to this, but Trilegal Mumbai is definitely the wrong answer.

Agree, even if work gets done at 8 pm, the email will only get sent at midnight to show clients that midnight oil is being burnt.
This looks like a game prologue from Sekiro when you kill a corrupted monster.
Even the ones that pay peanuts won't let you go home at 7
Competition Teams except NKs because they have a custom no sorry sorry they have a ritual to send emails late night. Iykyk
Almost all firms would be okay with that unless there is work that requires you to be in office. AZB is sort of an exception to this

In Your Dreams Legal. They follow this religiously, to the extent that if you do not leave office after 7 more than 3 times a year, it has an adverse impact on your bonus.
7 PM??? 7 baje to mera Partner bhi ghar nahi jaata
I have heard NDA associates are home by latest 6:30 and are the highest paid freshers in the market
I think that is fine. Point is 7/8pm one should be leaving the office..
You can go home at 7 PM and continue working from home for the rest of the night
A firm that lets you go at 7 PM will pay peanuts. that's how it is.
