I recently finished an assessment with a Tier-2 firm and I’m just waiting to hear back about an interview call. Apart from that, I don’t really have a solid backup right now. Cold emailing also doesn’t seem to be working anymore.
I’ve mostly done corporate law, so I’m not really looking at chambers/litigation at this point. Just feeling a bit stuck and honestly pretty stressed about how things are looking right now. Would really help to hear if others have been in a similar spot and how you dealt with it.
A long term paralegalship/assessment internship which can be converted at a t1 or t2 might be a better suited option than cold emailing for a job directly.
A lot of smaller boutique firms or newer firms would also be a lot more responsive to cold emails.
Another option, would be getting in touch with your university alumni group, and reaching out to them for potential opportunities, they would be a lot more responsive and open to helping you with opportunities. All the best!
