In fact I would suggest all lawyers - save as much as you can until you become partner and then move in-house/independent. If you chose to become partner and continue, just be prepared to endless anxiety and loss of mental peace.
It is not about earning while you are in a firm.
The query is what happens after one leaves the firm.
PAs may make more than first year Partners. But in market, at the first meeting, an ex Partner always holds more value than an ex PA.
But once you establish your rapo, ex Partner or ex PA doesn't matter. Your work will speak for you.
