That poor kind hearted partner will be spammed with 1st year students with poorly drafted mails to aspirants who are actually in need and deserving. It would be matter of time that he will be overwhelmed and start ignoring.
If you want to cold mail to right partner, it is your diligence to search for him, talk to people, seniors. People who can endure this search shall be worthy of the opportunity.
