Actual explanation: Good looking people can be below them in social hierarchies whereas connected people are already elite and i recently learned that people treat elites better or what they perceive as elite like doctors
Both are looked down. But good looking ones get relatively more hate because most Indian cultures have repeatedly ingrained into people's minds that focussing on beauty= vainess = narcisstic sin.
