How is it working at the Big 4 as a law graduate? I heard that it’s harder to get into any of the Big 4 than getting into a tier 1 lawfirm. How’s the pay exposure etc?
Harder lol? Kids who can't cut it in a law firm join Big4. Lawyers at Big4 try to spin this narrative that it's tougher... But somebody please tell them only CAs can (maybe) flex making it into Big4. In fact working at Big4 as a lawyer likely diminishes your legal acumen.
You seem entitled with this statement Law firms are nothing much than Lala sweatshops who take away your entire time for the money which isn't even that great if you compare with Tech, Banker and Consultants. Big 4 are much well known than a law firm.
Nope its harder to get into Tier 1 law firm than Big 4. Pay wise Firms has always been better, you would earn 7-12 lakh as fresher in a big 4 and about 15-20 lakh in a tier 1 firm. Growth wise tier 1 firm is better than big 4 anyday.
It entirely depends on your practice area. Some practice areas have better growth in Consulting, for instance - International Trade Law, M&A tax, etc.
