So there is competition everywhere: for entry in govt universities, govt jobs and even jobs abroad. Next up will be reservation in Ashoka, Jindal and ISB, since political parties now want reservations extended to private institutes.
It's because of our huge population and lack of family planning in India. Rahul Gandhi's "Jitni abadi, utna haq" chant is the new normal and followed by the BJP too.
So in addition to reservation, this is another welcome step for SC/ST/OBC students. Kudos to Nitish Kumar ji and BJP-JDU govt.
