TLDR:

- Increasing culture wars on campus. Left-wing and right-wing students have got into physical fights because of political disagreements. Sometimes the POLICE have been called. 😳

- Earlier TISS admissions were based on subjective criteria like GD and interviews, plus their own entrance exam. Now there is an objective, centralised exam. Professors say this is benefitting engineering students, who tend to have a RW bias. It’s also benefiting upper caste students. Professors are unhappy about this and want objective tests scrapped.

- Professors are also unhappy because objective tests have reduced regional diversity: mostly Hindi-speaking students are getting admission.

- The RW has spies among students, who are secretly recording LW professors and students smoking pot and supporting LW causes

- Kerala Files was screened by RW students

- Professors may ban mobile phones in class, over fears of being recorded.

NOTE: The report does not mention Jindal, but everyone knows that RW Jindal students are the ones have been secretly recording LW professors and sharing the videos on X and OpIndia. Obviously that’s where the fear comes from.

So students are having brawls because of Congress-BJP ideological rivalry. And meanwhile government and opposition MPs are partying together and dancing at Naveen Jindal’s wedding. 🤡

Guys, don’t bother so much about politics, because the politicians don’t bother about us. Focus on your studies and placements, that’s it. And life is short: don’t make enemies with people just because of differences in ideology. College is a time for fun and friendships. And don’t get into fights for god’s sake! If anyone gets seriously hurt, you could be in jail and your life will be ruined! Is is worth it??

Lectures are usually hours long discussion where multiple sides of arguments are presented. Imagine a Professor discussing the nuances behind Marital Rape laws? Wouldn't the professor, in an earnest discussion, try to present and showcase multiple sides of the argument? All of the caveats and considerations are being taken into account when discussing this concept. Can you imagine how many lines will be spoken in that 2-3 hour-long discussion, which can be carried out of context to just incite the mob? Moroever imagine your residence being in a small town in Haryana like JGLS is. JGLS has multiple liberal arts courses and subjects on offer. I can only imagine the abuse the professors will have to face if clips of their lectures is posted without any bit of respect to the context. You, my friend, will stiffle discussion and conversations with your short sightedness.

You are wrong, I have been in those classes from the exact same JGLS profs.....they certainly don't present arguments from "multiple sides". All they do is come and rant for 2-3 hours from their extreme left point of view. And rather than my friend", it is they who "stiffle discussion and conversations" by downgrading "multiple sides" and being aggressive/fascist towards them.

In my batch at my NLU, a pretty big fight broke out between a Congress guy and a far-left ▮▮▮ guy over whether Nehru was a “sellout”. The ▮▮▮ punched the Congressi in the stomach, not knowing that the Congressi had various health problems. The Congressi had to be taken to a doctor (fortunately nothing major).

Today, the ▮▮▮ is working abroad as a financial lawyer, boasting on LinkedIn about advising offshore entities - tax evasion by another name! And this guy used to rant against “neoliberalism” in college and criticise Nehru for not being socialist enough and for not aligning with Mao. 🙄
