- Rich upper castes, OBCs and minorities have NRI or Domicile quota
- Rich SC/STs have SC, ST, NRI and Domicile quota (no creamy layer bar for SC/ST quota)

- Then smaller quotas like women, disabled, transgender etc
Parallel to all of this, each NLU has a small number of seats where admission is on pure merit, irrespective of caste, wealth or social status. These are the true unreserved seats. Until the early 2000s, these seats were the majority across NLUs. Now they are the minority.
I believe in a world that rewards merit and merit alone. I want to migrate to a country that is a meritocracy and rewards hard work and talent, such as Singapore or countries in the West. Countries where opportunities are handed out on the basis of ability, rather than the fact that your ancestors may have been discriminated against 500 years ago. Countries where Indian immigrants from regular middle-class have achieved wealth and success that they could not have had they stayed in India. Countries where people don’t burn buses if they are not awarded quotas. Where the air is pure because politicians care about the environment.
