HRe are incredibly particular when it comes to internships, and if you're not in the top 15-20 ish, there's a really low chance you will get an internship.
For recruitments, they do tend to look beyond just grades and see you as a whole. Your cv must however have other things that can act a testament to your work. You would also need to justify your cgpa
