Sadly, there is no such concept as getting into such chambers on "merit alone".
It is much much easier if you have a clerkship tag or come from a top NLU or have worked in a Tier 1 firm, otherwise very tough to break into these chambers.
Joining the chambers of competent and rising junior lawyers is almost always a better idea
Same as the title- I mean the Sibals, Rohatgis of the legal world, even seniors like Raj Shekhar, Ritin, Nayar, etc? It’s all purely reference based.

Where is the scope for first gen lawyers?
