Legally, this totally violates human rights law. In the UK and Europe, you cannot forcibly deport people like this, or send them to detention camps. They have the right to apply for asylum and citizenship. Only Trump's America throws people out like this. So what can human rights lawyers do to intervene? Can they file a petition before the SC or approach the UN?
The whole basis of the protest was that both Muslim and Hindu Bangladeshis should be allowed to claim citizenship of India as refugees, not just Hindu Bangladeshis.
