Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
I recently graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (Law Centre-II, 2025), but despite applying widely to firms, in-house teams, and even startups, I’ve not been able to secure either a full-time role or even an assessment internship.
1. Most firms seem to hire a year in advance.
2. I don’t have PQE yet, so many entry-level roles get closed off.
3. I’m considering independent counsels, but long-term I want to work at a law firm.
My questions:
- How can a fresher like me realistically break into arbitration/corporate law firms now?
- Are independent counsels a good path to eventually move to firms?
- What can I do in the next 2–3 months to make myself employable (courses, networking, writing, etc.)?
