I want to know about the compensation for people working in the policy teams at firms like SAM, CAM, Saraf (including other law firms), policy-focused firms like Vidhi and Ikigai and in-house roles.
How does the pay compare to that of the general corporate team of a T1?
I’ve tried searching online, but found very limited information about policy team salaries.
I would really appreciate any insights, as this would not only help me but also other students considering this career path.

The place I work at is a Tier II law firm in the tech and policy space, and an A2 in the tech policy team makes around 14L, including bonus.
Also, please share some insight on how to get placed at these teams. Securing internships is one thing, but the work usually ranges from preparing a policy brief or compiling data for further research. I've gotten considerable exposure at good policy spaces, but I still don't understand how I will convert these opportunities into a job.
