Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
- If you can’t afford a good private law school, you must either be among the tiny fraction of merit listers at the top NLUs, or join a crumbling second-tier NLU or TLC.
- Even at top-tier NLUs, the competition for good jobs is getting very tough, because the legal market has not grown sufficiently. On top of that, JGLS has captured a big chunk of jobs, because of the influence of their college and their own contacts.
- If you can’t crack a decent law firm, litigation is an option. But you earn nothing in the first decade and your progression is hard if you are a non-nepo kid.
So isn’t it better to go for a STEM career?

- if one of your parents obtained a job through reservation, you should not be allowed to avail of reservation. Otherwise, children of IAS officers will monopolise jobs, instead of poor people in rural areas (from the same community).
- you can only exercise a shot at reservation once. For example if you enter NLSIU using reservation, you cannot use it again to apply for government jobs.
- reservation should be given to urban citizens only if no rural citizen has applied for the same slot.
These policies will maximise the benefits of reservation among such communities.
