corporate law is better in terms of pay down the line with more experience, and IT glorious days are gone jobs are hard there too. so I thought I would rather study what I want to but being from middle class family I need job soon which is the issue for me

Do not listen to people on LI advising you to opt for law. It's an echo chamber and these people haven't once peeped outside of the legal fraternity to look closely into other professions. An average student in an average tech University will still out class majority of law students in terms of finance and wellbeing. The high salaries that you hear of is for people who have put in a decades worth of effort, not for a newbie. Majority of people join corporate thinking oh it's better than litigation, but then end up doing 14 hours of work for peanuts. The same number of hours you give to tech or MBA and you'll get double the pay. Moreover AI will and already has replaced a lot of work that A0 do. My suggestion, if you really want to pursue law, do it for the passion and on an intersection of law and tech. Maybe from someplace like IITKGP, or IIT Delhi in law and tech

Absolutely not. Law is stagnant and has no decent work for the next decade. Use your AI ML at IIT or even do an MBA and move away. Law is just not it at the moment. There's a reason why BCI had blocked any new law Universities. Too much supply, less demand.

You’re gonna regret it. Keep doing what you’re doing. Tech is far better than law; especially in terms of pay, moving abroad, over all work life balance. Keep at it and land a decent paying job.

I am sophomore studying AI ML in tier 3 engg college and honestly I hate it. Law has been my interest but the issue is I am already 20 now and I come from middle class family so I don't know whether should I continue engg or follow my interest of studying law as I will need a job in future. My parents are again perstering me to prepare for GATE to do Mtech in AI but I am not interested at all
