Thanks, agree with some of what you're saying except it being freeing, I think that's a level of optimsm I can never hold. Added a comment above on my take on the skills not really contributing substantially towards actually getting clients.
Buddy calm down even CS and MBA grads are struggling to land a job nowadays. The grass is always greener on the other side. If your have problem with law a profession, then you can always go for MBA rather than venting out here.
You know its not that straightforward to jump ship, sunken costs and everything... and let a man vent. That's what this space is for. That's what all of social media is for - to start a dialogue, like this.
No, it's not better go on insta or reddit and be a crybaby there. LI is only for getting insights about legal profession.
Aaaa nd who exactly said so? If that were the case, they wouldn't allow this post on here. Mods and the people running the site clearly don't mind this discourse on here. Take your uncle ji behaviour somewhere else pls
Nobody is active on reddit plus who will listen to you on what we should do? I'll post what I want where I want. If you don't like it, go give pseudo knowledge somewhere else unc... Anyway nobody prolly listens to you irl.. so you try on here, I get that
I agree with the points but I think the real problem isn't any of these but saturation -- the demand at T1/T2 firms is so pathetic compared to the thousands of law graduates every year (from just the top 15 colleges) that it gives way to exploitation of time, energy, dignity
I think alot of this profession and society as a whole will benefit when majority of the flock born between 1960 to 1985 stop working lol. Exploitation is almost seen as a birth right by people born during this period.
Agree that we made a mistake choosing law, but the government should also be blamed for not reforming the economy fast enough and letting SILF dictate terms.
Which other profession will offer you 20 L per hearing?
That's 1% of the profession. Compare the entry salary for an average student, or the progressive salary of professions.
This is such a delusional take. Stop comparing CTCs in the private sector with the income of corporate lawyers.

Compare in-hands salaries and you'll realise how exaggerated these 20-30lpa CTCs really are.
Finally, some common sense in a comment. These idiots who keep shouting MBA wouldn't even qualify to enter a tier-3 IIM and have no idea of the reality of such jobs either.
This is such a stupid argument. How many are getting 20 L even? Do all lawyers just do litigation? Swear litigation folks need to go out and touch some grass
Workingbtowa rs building independent litigation practice is the best choice law graduates can make.
I agree with this. First 10 years in law firms is better than Litigation. But, the remaining years are much better for an independent Litigator than a partner at a law firm.
