It’s plainly obvious that whenever the Modi govt tries to enact such reforms, the bureaucracy tries to sabotage it. Wondering why? I mean, most of their children are settled abroad, so why are they against the implementation of policies present in the West?
It's plainly obvious that the government is not interested in carrying out any real reform, because people will then stop voting on religion, caste and fear mongering.
What reform are you aware of that has been blocked by IAS after 2014?
In the Indian context, Farooque Sheikh's Ji Mantriji isn't half bad either. One may also read MV Kaw's Bureaucrazy.
What makes you think it is the bureaucracy blocking reforms? Or have you also fallen for the "HE would do so much more if only he wasn't stymied by the incompetent/lazy/selfish people around him" sob story? If so, I have a bridge to sell to you.
