I really wish to work as an insurance lawyer and my options are limited. Hence, I need an idea regarding the same.
I worked in Tuli Delhi office for a year (disputes team).
If you get a chance to join the coverage team, go for it. They work directly under Neeraj Tuli and they are happy. Lots of smiles during and after meetings.
However, the story is completely different for other teams. The culture is extremely toxic and most partners are on ▮▮▮ in Delhi.
The mumbai team is still better than Delhi. Please check profiles of people already working there. You will find better retention rates in Mumbai than in Delhi. There are strong reasons behind that.
Things could have changed in the last 3 years, so speak to someone who is already working there before joining.
My 1 year was a complete disaster since I had to work under a partner who was a ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ (who has subsequently fired).
Mumbai team is good to start with, esp if you're going for insurance disputes. They also had some aviation law (read: civil recovery) matters and were looking to expand that.
If in Delhi, Solaris, which is started by ex-TC stars is a much better option for disputes.

The Delhi office lit team seem to be in a better state since they have younger partners ▮▮▮. In general though, Tuli suffers due to a lack of skilled associates and is extremely top heavy. Your hours will get eaten by your seniors because they need to meet their targets ▮▮▮

It was a firm that was known for its ability to retain employees but those days are long gone. There have been layoffs at the associate level and the increments/bonuses (unless you're chummy chummy with the partners in question) have been abysmal.
I know someone who worked there for 4.5 years and was denied their promotion for no apparent reasons. You either kowtow and become a partners pet, or you sit and grind but are never truly appreciated.
There are better places, that will pay you more for the same work that Tuli asks of you. You just gotta look.
