He was a top lawyer, man was literally ASG in 1989. So it won't be right to say he was more of a politician.
Lets just say he was a serious contender for

GOAT status. A polymath. If he had stuck to only the profession, he would be a head and shoulder above the rest of the current leaders. Have had the pleasure to brief him back in the day.
Jaitley - Genuinely good.

Rohatgi - Would rather not comment.
Who is engaging in the vulture-like downvoting of these comments and why?
LI voting patterns have always been dodgy. I am convinced done people use bots. It’s pretty easy to design voting bots.
I completely agree. Another lesser-known fact about him is his remarkable instinct for real estate β€” he knew exactly when and where to invest. The timing of some of his property deals in Delhi will leave you spellbound by hisβ€”let’s just sayβ€”uncanny foresight!
He was very ordinary. I briefed him. Spent a lot of his time gossiping during conferences. But a typical Punjabi who would do favour's to all and had a lot of goodwill, mainly by giving DDCA memberships to all and sundry. Rohatgi was far superior as a lawyer
Why is every comment praising jaitley getting downvoted
Now 3rd and 4th year law students will come and give their 2 cents on a man who was litigating before most on this website were even born.
Same vibes as the current generation saying that Kohli is the real GOAT and ignoring Sachin Tendulkar.
