I am currently an A1 in a Tier 1 law firm with specialisation in a niche practise area. I will be hitting the 25 year old mark soon and presently looking for ways to "upgrade"/"upskill" myself and switch from my current domain ( i wish to stick to the dispute side and not venture much into the corp advisory side. CAP Max & Banking Finance is a big NO. I am open to TMT). I also open to exploring the legal market in Singapore and UK and open to re-location.
I have the following doubts:
1. Will a masters degree help me? I am majorly into litigation and no longer hold the dream of running my own chamber (I love the money and want more a balanced life) (yes, i wish to earn well- its my priority)
2. Will taking the SQE exam help? Anyone on this platform who has passed the SQE which has helped them transition into UK/Singapore law market? What was the process? Can we please connect? (Pretty please)
3. If not law, will an MBA work? What options do I have after doing MBA? Anyone who has made the switch and is willing to share their experience and learnings.
I willing to start from scratch, in my opinion its not too late. I do not wish to relocate to US, its too far from home (its a personal choice). I do wish to explore the world and more than willing to put in the efforts to make it possible. All genuine suggestions are welcomed.
