Why did he run to CAM? We may never know the full truth of it of course, but if you think JSA was giving him any autonomy you're mistaken. The JMP-ExCom cabal runs the whole firm, very much like a lala firm. Lateral-ing in as an EP means you will be an outsider for years. In a Lala setup, there is a very simple hierarchy - the bigger your books, the more freedom you have. Iqbal's books will open a lot of doors for him.
