best practice areas in corp (not intense)
’ll be upfront: numbers and hyper‑competitive environments aren’t my strong suit, don’t get me wrong I’m smart ( T1 Nlu, top 10 batch rank) but Im just slightly laidback when it comes to corporate or jobs in general. I can work long and hard but I don’t mind the hours either. That said, I want to join a tier‑one firm ideally in a practice area that’s a little human, but not totally relentless. Ive interned in tier 1s quiet a few time but I haven’t been able to crack which practice is it for me. Tbh Im not super passionate abut any of them, but before anyone comes on here and says that don’t do it then, find your calling or some shiz, that’s just how I am, not passionate about any job but I do like money and prestige, so yeah .Which practice areas tend to have decent people who don’t suck the life out of you, and predictable workflows, and not go go go all the time. What trade‑offs should I understand/ types of work involved, typical client urgency, billable‑hour load, and long‑term progression for areas that suit someone who is not as intense in life in general. (Ik everything sucks, but what sucks maybe a little bit less)
