This may sound silly but I would really appreciate if you could recommend bags for law schools ( totes, messengers, bag packs). I have a laptop and a tablet to carry.. also since I am an incoming student I don’t know what books/ resources we have to carry on a daily basis - so anything which accommodates them w/o being bulky.

PS: OP, many lawyers and law students (including some who use Legally India) are absolutely lovely people. The one who wrote this comment does not represent us, because whoever s/he is, they are like the smelly thing the dog accidentally brought in or possibly, the dog who deliberately chooses to bring in smelly stuff from his walks to make his (human) parent's life difficult.

I personally use a skybags backpack
So far, the back-pack has been comfortable on my shoulders and that is really the most important thing for me. I recently had a long travel, between flights and trains, and the backpack was filled to the brim but it managed the weight of everything really quite well on my shoulders. It is water-repellant which means, as the folks at Decathlon told me, that it will push away the droplets but if you find yourself in a heavy shower, then Decathlon also sells a nice looking and actually-working water-proof option that they call "rain cover" << https://www.decathlon.in/p/8764679/backpack-rain-cover-20-40l-orange >>.
My own advice to you would be to prioritise size and comfort. Nowadays I feel that I need more than 32L in terms of storage in a back-pack but that is not a fault of this particular back-pack, just an evolution of my own needs.

A good old backpack from Amazon with a laptop sleeve will suffice at the end of it all. If your budget allows: Daily objects backpacks. Great quality and design. Nice to carry during internships too. Mokobara is great too, but it is quite expensive.
I apologise for the inconvenience my query caused. I had posted my doubts on other forums as well but most of the answer weren’t useful and some were outrightly trollish. I don’t wish to spend money on something which I regret later, I posted this here anticipating a positive response from individuals who have been in a similar position at some point. The thought Moving to the other end of the country is very daunting for me and I was only trying to be cautious.
