The funny thing is that nowhere in the North Indian states can one survive by knowing only South Indian languages, or even East Indian languages, but people insist that they should be able to thrive in the Southern states knowing only Hindi.
Nice defence, but we know the real story. It’s getting worse and worse, with full encouragement by the ruling Congress party.
exactly the same thing happens in delhi when you speak english v hindi. Poor people see english speaking ability as a sign of privilege, which it very well is,
Great, so either be fluent in Kannada or get ripped off in English?
So are you saying that if I don't know Hindi, I can survive in the cities of UP and other North Indian states? Lol, as if!
1. "Is Bengaluru still attractive to work in?". No it isn't. And it never will be. (Former resident of Bengaluru, lived there 14+ years.)

2. "Are Hyderabad and Ahmedabad better?": Also no.
This is the only right answer. Pls find work in Mumbai and Delhi and clog up this former quaint little town even more. Bangalore was not meant to be this big a city.
Quaint Bangalore is gone, whether you like it or not. You're better off relocating to Shivmoga or something.
Nothing of note to be honest. None of them are professional.
People are very conservative. Thats the problem with Ahmedabad. This is the main reason why Ahmedabad wont be big even after BJP's push
Conservative people, hardly cosmopolitan, dry state, caste & religion based housing segregation.

Nothing going for it that makes a 20 something non-Gujarat native professional want to move there over a Delhi Mumbai Bangalore Hyderabad.
Completely agree, despite being an outsider. You don't like a city, don't go there to live and work.
Ahmedabad has the biggest stadium. What else do we need?
Ahmedabad will most probably be next financial capital of India. It has bullet trains, good governance, will host Olympics, has GIFT city, has biggest stadium in the world. Mumbai is too overcrowded, Delhi is polluted, Bengaluru has pathetic traffic and language warriors.
Hilarious to see the apologists defending Bengaluru and dissing Ahmedabad. Your political bias and your chauvinism are transparent!
Yes, Gujarat gets over 400 crores of Khelo India money and still contributes nothing to the medals or honours front in sports. Whereas states like Tamilnadu, doing very well, gets a fraction of that. Chauvinism indeed.
The comments in this thread exemplify why we need pan-India nationalist parties and politicians

in India, rather than those playing identity politics on the basis of region, language and caste.
