You can’t just look at absolute numbers. You need to look at per capita also. In other words, not how many people from a state are getting in, but what percentage of people are getting in. UP and Bihar may have higher numbers than Kerala and Delhi but what about per capita?
A community-wise breakup is more relevant. For example, I think Marathis from Mumbai are outnumbered by other communities from Mumbai. Same for Bengalis from Kolkata.
