Hi,

The firm doesnt actually fire anybody, what they really do is ask you to quit to save you the embarrassment.

Sorry what does "high-functioning" mean lol?

Let's see, in the Mumbai Office transactions team, how many people, who are not partners currently have stuck around for more than 5 years?
TouchΓ©! The Mumbai office is still relevant but the Delhi office is running on fumes. Barely any litigation presence left in Delhi.
Bharucha's founding partners were old school, they were demanding work wise but had brilliance and grace to perhaps warrant it.

Next generation is nowhere near as brilliant or graceful. IYKYK.
I have friends who work there and Bharucha has a bad reputation but the people who are there are happy. Some of their partners are doing very well and have built a name themselves.

Did they fire you? They have great work and some teams work hard but are fun to work with.
Why is this being downvoted? If inaccurate, can someone clarify?
Teams are high functioning but lean, with very poor resource allocation (There are hardly any people in Delhi disputes left anyway).

Attrition is not only for upward shifts, and upward shifts are exceptions and not the general rule.
I've read a lot and seen on LinkedIn that Bharucha has extremely high attrition, many leave in months. I wanted to know if they fire a lot of associates or people just end up leaving, any insight would be greatly appreciated.
