Reality: It is never possible to have a 100% placement rate. That's just never possible. So many assumptions would have to be made, so much would have to be perfect: job market would have to be good, the kids would all have to have good CVs, everyone would have to have (reasonably) good marks (at least) (which in itself would be a red flag, as it might indicate compromised academic standards). On top of that, there is one more factor: the variability. In various countries, this plays out in various ways. In India, it is how many students in a batch actually register with the RCC (as opposed to doing something on their own), while in England, for example, the government collects data about what they are doing from university graduates a few months after they have graduated from their course, to ask them about career destinations - so there, it's a question of what is the response rate among a batch at a particular institution to what is called the Graduate Outcomes Survey. The point I am making is simply this: those numbers just never show you the full picture. I am sorry, but we just don't live in a perfect world. So there might actually be something wrong with those numbers you might have heard about or read.

Therefore, the question you want to ask yourself is: how high is that placement rate and how strong an indication is it of what happens at a particular university? For example, out of a batch of 120, if 110 register with the RCC and 100 get jobs, then you have something worthwhile to go on. That's because after that, the only question that remains to be asked is: what happened to the balance number of students who didn't register with the RCC? (Forget about those 10 who didn't get a job through it, they would, eventually, at some point, most likely.) Don't assume, also, that non-registration with an RCC is an indication of student quality or something. In many such cases, such people would have gone on to undertake further study at the master's level abroad, or to undertake vacation schemes and training contracts at foreign law firms etc (obviously, in Jindal, it is a different story I think, whereby you have to obtain a certain batch rank/marks to even be eligible to register for the RCC, but that's not necessarily the case at most places).
