I think what you did was right in your specific circumstances. At the same time, I also think that the wisdom of applying this strategy to other scenarios is doubtful.
I rejected an offer from CAM Mumbai stating some personal reasons as I did not want to move to Mumbai. Just say that you have some personal reasons and that is why you will not be able to join and DO NOT tell them about your new offer, if any.
Can they take some action against me that hampers my career in the long run or sue me?
the offer letter doesn't allow for accepting other offers as a reason, which i understand is quite obvious in all offer letters but what to do now without creating rift- also can they sue me? Since after having accepted and signed it's a binding contract
Say it's due to personal reasons like a medical emergency at home or relocation
Please share tips to get out of such a sticky situation without causing any unnecessary rifts?
