At one time, I believe judges used to read the SCR headnotes and edit if required
Usually judicial clerks or junior editors of the SCR. The name is printed at the end in the current editions.
Definitely not judges themselves. It would be too much to expect.
They're usually quite fantastic, especially older ones. I wonder who is tasked with this? They are somehow able to retain the nuance and technical detail.
