Go to a cognitive behavioural therapist or read Feeling Good by David Burns. Its the first CBT book I read, start from there and work your way through this.

Court will take cognisance of a lot of cases. Maybe theres even merit in it that has not become apparent to me through this conversation. But for your own well-being- move on. Do other things you can be good at.

As a disabled person myself, please take a moment to reflect on what you are saying.

1. Granted, they are some of the most persecuted people.

However, this does not mean either that they should make that particular protected characteristic the predominent thing they present to the world, or that they should expect special treatment from the rest of society - nobody, be they disabled, LGBTQ, religious minority... should expect that. As above, is society doing a good job of treating intersex people well? No. And anyone who says they are is either kidding themselves, is deliberately trolling or knows nothing about how life works. As for 'self-improvement', disability issues are only one of the many topics I choose to talk about with people. There are loads of interesting things to talk about: from economics to politics, philosophy to current affairs, history and music, technological developments and literature... the list is endless. While I am not the person who wrote that comment, it was a gentle hint to become more aware of the world, to be more well read, etc. Essentially, do not allow yourself to be defined by your identity. People shouldn't know you as 'the intersex person in our acquaintance circle', but as 'that really smart person in our known circle, who is intersex, and who beat all odds despite societal prejudice and achieved success in her field'.

Thats not true. He tried to leave with NLSAT and look at the mess that ended up in. NLUD didnt ever join the consortium. NLS has always belonged to it, theyre not equally placed. Trying to leave CLAT consortium would mean Sudhir would be hauled up in court so fast and called a hitler so many times it would likely not result in any gains and cause a lot of pain thats not worth it. His personality or connections do not give Sudhir superpowers. NLS cannot reasonably leave the clat consortium.

He might have taken some decisions within his role in the consortium, but it would have to be proven that he took this one at all.

Is that how small your world is? Who told you that people- any people are not capable of self improvement? Why apply to attend university if you dont think theres room for self improvement? I have several gay/ lesbian/ disabled/ dalit friends- they would be horrified at this kind of talk. It would be anathema to them to suppose that because of their identity they were either incapable of self improvement or that they shouldnt be invested in self improvement. They would be aghast at being told they had to only speak about their identities and there was nothing else to talk about. In fact these people almost never talk about their identities. Instead they talk about the languages theyre learning, the litigation/research theyre doing, the books theyre reading, politics, society, culture, history, the list of things they talk about thats not related to their sexuality or caste or ability is literally endless. Gay/ lesbian/disabled whatever you are still allowed to be an entire person. And youre allowed to have all the interests of an entire person. Anyone who seeks to diminish your world to identity politics has ill served you indeed. And because And it's because youre an entire person that you have flaws that you work on. I had to work on consistency and being self driven when I was in law school. Others had to work on their confidence or on more mundane skills like writing and reading and analysis. Thats what law school is for. To improve things about yourself. If you have a "what is there to improve" mindset- you would likely hate it.

Why on earth would you take what society says as the defining characteristic of your life? You seem to be changing your story a bit. I thought the score your "friend" got did not qualify her for NLS. It might have but it did not. So close but no cigar. And then I thought the reason she couldn't attend was the fees. Now you're telling me that it was none of that—there was blatant discrimination based on sex characteristics? So she had the scores? How did the CLAT consortium know about her sex characteristics? Do you have proof of this blatant discrimination? Or are you assuming, since your "friend" has "nothing to improve" that the only reason she was not admitted is because of her sex characteristics? tens of thousands of students who are all morally equally valuable do not get into NLS. Its not because of their identities. It's because of their clat scores. Every year there is someone who almost got into NLS and then didnt. My roommate was one such person- came from bangalore almost got into NLS and then fell one rank short. She just dealt with the disappointment and went to NALSAR instead, and she did great in life.

Of course I'm comparing like people alike. I do not think having a DSD makes you lesser or greater than someone who does have a DSD. Do you think people should be treated differently based on sex characteristics? Do you not want equality? Do you want sacred caste status instead? And intersex is such a broad category to start with. Some people think PCOS, hirsutism, or a micropenis are intersex conditions. If you ask me those people can and do want to just go about their lives without identifying as " most persecuted and marginalised members of society."

How did you arrive at that characterisation by the way? the most persecuted and marginalised stuff? Did you compare traumas? Did you take all intersectionalities into account? What makes someone with a DSD more marginalised and persecuted than someone who is called a terrorist or a naxal because of the tribe or religion they are born into ? what makes someone with a DSD more marginalised than someone who cannot get a drink of water or a house to rent or a job that isnt manual scavenging because of their caste? What makes someone with a DSD more marginalised than someone who is born into poverty, never gets schooled, ends up working in one of these factories where youre expected to work on a machine line without a break and suffer workplace injuries? What makes someone with a DSD more marginalised that someone who has any other disability?

I'm not gonna keep responding to you because theres clearly a lot of trauma talk you need to work through in therapy rather than a message board and youre clearly not very stable. But I cannot recommend enough that you go to a cognitive behavioural therapist. This thing youre doing to yourself is hurting only you.

If a person doesn't talk about her identity, then what exactly do you expect her to talk about? "Focus on self-improvement"? What is there to improve? You are comparing intersex people with non-intersex individuals without acknowledging that intersex persons are among the most persecuted and marginalized members of society. You're right-she wasn’t denied admission because of her disability, but because of her sex characteristics.

Just one point on which I would like to differ though. Sudhir has over the years taken several decisions on behalf of the consortium, especially when he used to be the secretary, so it is not accurate to portray him as an innocent bystander who always gets dragged into its mess. Moreover, if he had indeed been serious enough to leave the consortium, then there is no law or judgement that currently stops him from doing so. I used to believe that the SC judgment in 2007 was binding on at least the NLUs that existed back then. However, legal opinion (sought by insiders of the consortium) has revealed that it is no longer the case. The current consortium has multiple NLUs which never existed back then and hence is not the same entity that had started CLAT. So virtually any NLU can leave the consortium right now and conduct its own entrance examination. The fact that NLUD has been doing so with impunity every year is proof of that. I do agree that Sudhir often differs from the majority opinion within the consortium, yet his personality and connections mean that rarely he has to follow such opinions. He no longer picks an open fight like he used to initially, because he's intelligent enough to save his resources for matters where those can change things in his favour. That's just how a matured administrator behaves. In fact, I would say that in the last five-six years, he's grown a lot as an administrator. I may not agree with him on everything, but it is an undisputed fact that he's the best guy for the job among all the NLU VCs at present.

People can be critical of Sudhir. Hes not a god. I would go far as to say you can be at the beginning of your career and not have published anything or taught anywhere and still criticise Sudhir. You dont need to be a genius. I suppose the question really is what is good faith criticism of Sudhir? Is it fair to argue that the man has no good publications and is not held in high esteem by academics around the world because he doesnt churn out 10 peer reviewed publications a year? I think thats rather unfair. Clearly of the lot of academics in India Sudhir is very well published, very highly regarded by his fellow academics and academics across the world, and hes done this while helming administrative responsibilities that other scholars in a similar league simply havent. Why is Sudhir being held to this higher standard when the vast majority of NLU VCs until him barely had any real scholarship to their name? when the vast majority of NLU VCs today couldnt hold a candle to the work hes done? The comparators are off. He might even pass a higher standard but no one can pass an impossible standard. Is Sudhir published enough to be the don of oxford? likely not. Is he still the best India has got? yes. Is it possible he was hamstrung in achieving all his publication dreams because of the strains that indian academia places on its professors, especially those with some administrative capacity? perhaps he did not have the resources and support that western academics have? perhaps he spent his time building the sort of insitutions that would offer other academics that sort of support? Definitely.

Its also not fair at all to diminish his work entirely. I have seen people on this forum argue that he never taught at oxford, never taught at brown, never taught at columbia, never published a decent article—obviously those statements are not credible at all and likely come from a place of vindictiveness and envy.

Look man. If you wanted to talk about a particular case- the straight thing to do would be to talk about the case. not this nonsense where you pretend there's some puzzle and clearly are disappointed that someone has not given you the answer you want. Just try being upfront with people in the future.

A couple of points just after reading through what youve written:

1) CLAT consortium and the VC of NLSIU are completely different entities legally and practically speaking. Sudhir has repeatedly expressed that he disagrees with them on many accounts and even tried to find a way so he wouldnt have to admit students through that stupid and poorly run exam. He's in a bad marriage with the consortium, where he is blamed for everything they do wrong and also not allowed to leave.

2) This person you speak of honestly seems immature. Of course a university page is going to highlight students who have succeeded at different competitions and are optimistic and offer an aspirational example to other prospective students. Not just because those students are aspirational, but because it might be exploitative to put the trauma stories of students who aren't doing so well on the website. They might regret it; The internet is forever and a 19 year old may not be able to make a considered decision about whether to put their trauma up on a website for all to see. The university might just be protecting them and their future selves by keeping a light tone on its own website. It's got nothing to do with class or who gets encouraged at the university. A person who got into Yale for his LLM from NLS this year is a queer disabled first-generation learner who got tons of support from the university.
University website pages are also not there to "encourage" students. Not everything exists to encourage students. Students are not fragile little tinker bells who will die if they don't get applause constantly. University website pages are there for the university to publicly communicate with the public - they will put up calls for papers and applications, notices of news and events, faculty scholarship and an occasional fluff piece about new students or faculty. they only do that last so prospective students might draw some inspiration and consider applying. so crucial to that would be to point out all the opportunities NLS can offer them. It's not there to do the purpose you think it's there to do. This is not there to give validation to the students featured.
3) Are you saying that someone with an illiterate mother or a disorder of sexual development cannot compete with others on an equal footing? Are you suggesting that this individual is morally or otherwise inferior in her abilities? I don't think so. I've known plenty of people who were first-generation learners and did extremely well. Sudhir himself—his mother only has high school, and his father was a watchman. He went to school on scholarships and the charity of Christian organizations, and he made something of himself. And once he made something of himself, he was celebrated. The idea that people should be held to a lower standard because of their background - that they somehow lack capacity for brilliance - is honestly quite bigoted. I have known plenty of children from single parent homes, including yours truly, who thrived at NLUs, were not any different than anyone else.

4) What is the great source of agony here? What is it that we're supposed to get worked up about? The university website page that hardly anyone reads doesn't celebrate exactly the type of person you want and deem worthy? Because from your obviously biased summary, I gather that your candidate did not actually make it into NLSIU. So they very well cannot put up a profile of her as an admitted student. If it was money she was worried about, she could have taken loans, tried out for Aditya Birla, or reached out to IDIA. It seems she wanted a lowered admission standard and I'm afraid sometimes in life you have to take the L, or work harder to ace clat the next time. Thousands of students attempt clat and don't make it to NLS and move on with their lives. This obsession seems unhealthy.
5) Besides the laws can and do account for- you must admit disabled candidates who qualify, dalits and adivasis who qualify etc. She was not denied admission just because of her disability. What you're asking for is something else. You're asking for everyone in your life to celebrate and treat you like a hero because you have a trauma story that you personally think makes you superior. I'm afraid you simply cannot compel others to see you the way you want to be seen. Or at least that the university celebrate other candidates you deem worthy because of their traumas. None of us have that right. If we did, it would be a dystopia where speech and thought could be compelled.

6) If the assertion is that because your friend was not admitted—no one at NLS currently has trauma or comes from disadvantaged backgrounds and therefore it's an elite institution—that's honestly just ignorant. Hundreds of people on a university campus, many of them come from troubled backgrounds; nearly all of them do not make it their entire identity; they focus on self improvement and learning the law to help others. You might consider doing the same.

The only sorts of people who could come up with something like that are people with actual brains (the sort who've never heard of CLAT and who'd consider it faltu, if they did) - like the Israeli Mossad. You were more like the U.S. foreign intelligence agency, the C.I.A., who hired a bunch of idiots to kill Fidel Castro, the Cuban dictator, each of whose attempts was more bizarre than the last.

2. However, just because you lacked many of the qualities at that time to organise a "concerted and diabolical attempt to harm him" doesn't mean you have eternally remained so useless. You have grown and become more dangerous over time. You have realised that the best way to do this (i.e., to harm him) is by sustained and motivated attacks on his character and ability. What you didn't bargain for, however, is that there'd be folks who have a bit of common sense and who are ready to fight fire with fire and who can call out your bullshit.

3. People whose PhD research doesn't come up to scratch have no right to graduate with that degree. If really he has been doing something wrong, give me a source. One person who has not engaged in anonymous discussion, but spoken out in their own name to call this out. When the western unis (including Oxford) have fucked things up, students, alumni and academics of theirs have gone on Twitter and LinkedIn and blasted them openly and without any compunction. Surely, if Sudhir was so bad, someone would have the balls to do that (or something like it)?

You are creating these great benchmarks against which to measure one of the cleverest people in Indian legal academia (based on which he is found wanting), I am not. At the same time, (a) you are doing nothing to make Indian legal academia better; and (b) the crap state of Indian legal academia for a very long time is thanks, largely, to the complacency of egoists, which may or may not include you or people like you. Therefore, anyone who has an interest in these matters (such as myself) has every right to hold you accountable, by asking what substance and substantive thoughts, knowledge or intellectual contribution you have, other than bitterness and trolling. You have ventilated your so-called criticisms consequence-free for far too long. Now cope and seethe.

Again: show me what you have, genuine request in good faith. There is one respect in which I am at fault, it is true - not talking about this in terms of anonymity safeguards before. Understandably, you'd want to not dox yourself on here. You are a University of North Bengal (I use University of North Bengal as a soft target/paradigmatic example of a TLC) guy who has inferiority complexes about Oxford, just admit it and reconcile yourself to the fact that the days for your kind in Indian legal academia are likely to be numbered, because of people like Sudhir.

Lol, Sudhir did not actually fail any unusual number of people at NUJS. Speaking as someone who has been taught by him there. He wasn't anything great as a teacher, but he was also young back then, though made a professor. I am sure that he has improved a lot with experience, most teachers do. He was not a likable person at all though, but he did not need to be either.

Apart from faculty poaching, which I agree that he's been doing well, I honestly want to know of the specific changes that he's introduced as an admin. I haven't seen or heard anything from the ground. Someone here mentioned that he wants all PhD scholarships to get stipends/fellowships. A great move indeed if true. However, at present, NLSIU offers only a few such fellowships, something very similar to some of the other NLUs. Insofar as differences in pedagogy is concerned, that's a matter of opinion honestly. The only tangible way to see the product of that would be if the NLSIU faculty produce great research and publications, which they haven't been doing in the last six years, or if their students go ahead and demonstrate great skills in their chosen careers. The latter may take time, I agree, and one cannot say for sure whether that's happening right now, yet that's the precise reason why his greatness cannot be pronounced upon conclusively at this stage.

I would give him the credit for honestly trying two things, getting faculty with good academic background consistently and regularly, and refusing to dilute academic standards merely on student demand. Honestly, these are very good qualities for a VC to have under the present scenario. To the best of my knowledge, no other NLU VC is managing to do either. I'm not commenting upon Sudhir's own scholarship, because that is not of huge relevance in his performance as a VC. Even the likes of Menon didn't have a stellar publication record, but that didn't stop them from becoming great administrators. One thing that Sudhir has done that is unlikely to help NLSIU in the long run is the rapid increase in batch strength, but I'm guessing that he didn't have a choice given the financial condition. Overall, I think that both the sides here should dial their tone down and let the man function the way he chooses to and has been selected for by people who get to decide about the university. You want to talk about his legacy, do so after he's stepped down.

No, ordinary people in the Indian law environment cannot make valid criticisms of Sudhir, in nine cases out of ten. Especially not ordinary people on Legally India, because most of them are anyway the delinquents and the Indian equivalent of the hardened European football hooligans who set off fireworks in Sudhir's NUJS office just because he had the balls to fail them and not lick their boots like other teachers. Or, if not, then they are part of the TLC lobby whose life is one long trauma episode (thankfully) just because someone like Sudhir exists.

I'm ready to offer the missing piece of the puzzle. As I find you are more interested in VC of nlsiu then the issue at stake.

Some background first:

First-year BA LL.B. students are just starting out. Most of them are stepping away from the comfort and protection of home for the first time. They’re younger, more impressionable, and often deeply affected by even the smallest gestures of recognition. So, when the spotlight falls only on older students while the younger ones—who actually need more support and encouragement—are left out, it feels incredibly unfair. Unless there’s a really strong reason, there’s no justification for sidelining the younger lot.

Now, about those remarks like “tin foil hat” and “What an utter ▮▮▮ you are”—I’d like to introduce you to someone: AP.

That AP has devoted her life for the welfare of the children with disabilities, and she has secured a number of favorable orders from the Court of Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities for the education of children with disabilities, including acid attack victim, and free education for children under RPwD Act (the case is ongoing).

AP is someone the Vice-Chancellor of NLSIU knows. She comes from a struggling, working-class background and has had to break through countless barriers just to access education. Her story mirrors what’s described in this article: Outlook India – Why Transgender Children Are Often Forced to Drop Out of Schools.

Not everyone is born with a golden spoon. AP has had to fight for everything. Raised by a single mother who only studied till class 8, she was already used to being denied opportunities. So, when she was rejected from a college at DU, it didn’t come as a surprise. That’s what happens when someone dares to live outside society’s norms—they’re often punished for things they can’t even control.

Let’s ask a hard question:
“How is a child born in poverty with a Disorder of Sex Development (DSD) supposed to ‘fix’ herself just to be accepted by society—or get into college?”

AP cleared CUET-2024, and applied to the BA Programme at the University of Delhi because that’s what her financial situation allows. She’s also cleared CLAT-2025 with a rank that might get her into NLSIU, but with fees nearing half a million rupees, it’s just not realistic. That’s why she’s aiming for DU again. But here’s the thing—the university hasn’t responded to the Court’s notice about her denied admission. Worse, the principal has shown outright contempt for her. And her RTI? No reply in over 90 days. Just more proof of how deeply rooted this discrimination is.

Now, AP has taken her case to the Supreme Court under Article 32, challenging the exclusion of the judiciary from the jurisdiction of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities—based on an order passed in March 2025 on a related complaint.

“In the case of AP, the CCPD refused to initiate legal proceedings against SCLSC, citing a lack of jurisdiction over the judiciary for enforcement of RPwD Act. However, the she contends that the judiciary must be compelled to

implement the RPwD Act through the Chief Commissioner and the State Commissioner (please refer to the SCPD of NCT of Delhi and CCPD orders regarding the denial of legal aid by the SCLSC and Delhi HCLSC).”

Here’s a quick timeline of AP’s legal efforts:

1. She first filed a complaint with the Chief Commissioner regarding CLAT’s high application fee for PwBD candidates.

2. The Court turned it into a suo motu case and issued notices under Sections 75 and 77 of the RPwD Act, 2016.

3. The Consortium of NLUs replied with an affidavit saying they would reduce the fee to match the SC/ST rate.

4. They refunded ₹500 to PwBD candidates via the original payment method.

5. But—they never explained the refund publicly or individually.

6. AP filed a rejoinder, asking them to be transparent and publish a notification. They did not respond.

7. As a result, AP’s efforts were erased. No one acknowledged the change came because of her. That’s a violation of both moral values and the RPwD Act, 2016.

8. So why is this connected to NLSIU?

9. Back in 2023, after withdrawing a case meant for filing before the Supreme Court (through SCLSC’s lawyer) in a contempt petition, AP sent an email to NLSIU.

10.In it, she didn’t hold back. She said:

- 2023 NLSIU’s student profiles reek of elitism.
- On 23 July 2023, she wrote:
"You’re the Chancellor of NLSIU, and honestly, I don’t think you should’ve taken that role. The university shamelessly showcases only its upper-class students. It exists for the elite. You highlight students who ride horses, do Model UNs, have lived in several cities, studied in posh schools, and play music as a hobby—as if they’re the only ones who deserve to be seen."

On 30 April 2025, the Consortium of NLUs issued a notification referencing SLP (Civil) Diary No. 22324 of 2025 in the matter of Siddhi Sandeep Ladda v. Consortium of National Law Universities and Another. This notification, while necessary, appears designed to give public recognition to Siddhi Sandeep Ladda[the case titled is unnecessary] —who comes from a privileged family of lawyers.

By contrast, AP comes from a family illterate. In Siddhi’s case, no less than four advocates appeared before the Apex Court, including Senior Advocates K.K. Venugopal and Gopal Sankaranarayanan. Meanwhile, AP submitted a legal aid application on 31 October 2024 to the SCLSC for enforcement of her fundamental rights under Articles 15(1), 17, and 21, read with Sections 3, 4, 6, and 32 of the RPwD Act, 2016. She has received no response to date.

As always, the gates of justice appear to open only for the rich, English-medium students from elite urban backgrounds—while students from rural, vernacular-medium backgrounds continue to be excluded and denied justice, with no consequences whatsoever.

AP strongly feels that some people have an unfair edge over her—and others like her—when it comes to exams like CLAT and CUET. The system seems rigged in favour of those who have more money, better connections, and access to resources that others simply don't. These advantages include:

(a) Getting into expensive coaching centres

(b) Buying paid mock test series and fancy prep books

(c) Having parents who are well-educated and can help with studies

(d) Studying in top private schools from a young age

(e) Being part of the CBSE and NCERT setup—since CUET is based on NCERT content, anyone outside that circle is automatically at a disadvantage when it comes to getting into a good college.

AP wants to make it clear that she’s never had access to any of those things. She’s never gone to a coaching centre, never joined any paid test series, and never had special study help. Her mother only studied up to Class 8,(peon) so she couldn’t help much with academics. And AP has never studied in a private or elite school or any school at all—not even once in her life.

1. Not all that many have chosen to come back and tolerate the total nonsensical bullshit that is Indian academia, or to continue in it.

2. Even the best scholars in the world cannot operate properly in an environment that does not encourage good scholarship. This is what he's trying to change at NLS, so that people like himself will be able to write and research rigorously in the law at that institution.

3. No 'future hypotheticals' involved. NLSIU is making excellent progress. It takes time and effort to change from a place that primarily saw itself as providing vocational education/teaching to a Humbolttian university, where research-led teaching is taking place - because that massive transformation is what he's working on. Bar some jarring notes (sex-segrigated halls of residences by default, for example), NLS could almost be a good western uni at this point.

4. Encouraging to see new pedagogical techniques, such as greater focus on public law and legal theory. There are many good unis in the west (King's College London, Queen Mary and LSE being paradigmatic examples of this) who have dope jurisprudence faculty, but who choose (for their own reasons) to waste the talents of those faculty (e.g., take LSE's decisions to have some really good scholars in private law theory researching there, but not offering much in the way of teaching of private law theory to undergraduate or postgraduate students). As universities in the west continue to disappoint by falling into structural traps and making textbook mistakes like that, Sudhir's doing the job of observing the mistakes they make and doing his best to provide a meaningful alternative: ensuring, for example, that all his university's PhD students have funding, where in some universities outside India, people are increasingly having to partially (or even fully!!) self-fund their PhDs.

Please provide me with a detailed explanation of how the university you work at/you have graduated from does anything even remotely like this, and what that is.

He knows that argument will never wash, and I think, so do you. Sudhir isn't stupid - nobody that went to a uni like Oxford is. That programme has not only produced individuals who have done astonishing things, the sheer number of individuals of such kind it has produced is equally astonishing. And FYI, the LLB which you are so dismissive of has produced a Rhodes Scholar where the five year BALLB hadn't done for several years!

By every possible metric:

1. As a student: Best graduating student at NLSIU. Definitely one of the best students at Oxford, too, because only people who have achieved distinction in BCL are permitted to go to the DPhil. Please provide verifiable proof of your NLSIU and Oxford degrees, then dare to ask such questions. Otherwise, sit this one out.

2. Qualifications: NLSIU + two degrees at Oxford. Do you have either of these or anything even close?

3. Accomplishments: Rhodes Scholar. One of the biggest achievements in life that one can have. What do you have that is even close?

4. Publications: Books published by both Oxford and Cambridge University Press. Considering the quality of legal research in India, that is quite heavy for an Indian legal academic. Show me your publication list.

5. Experience: Has taught at two of the best law universities in India (NLSIU and NUJS), while also having taught at Oxford and Columbia. What have you done in life other than being a grifter?

6. As a university administrator: Doesn't tolerate nonsense, doesn't suffer fools gladly either (good thing, too, far too many fools in Indian higher education). Ensuring NLSIU operates like the best unis in the world, and that one day, it will be a hub for genuine research and intellectual work in law, like the actual Harvard, instead of just shooting his mouth off about it.

7. As a mentor: Other than his own writings, Sudhir has been publicly thanked by scholars in their own names whom he has advised on their academic projects. Tarunabh Khaitan (yes, the same T Khaitan, now of LSE) wrote an acknowledgement to him in a book chapter a few years ago. Provide verifiable proof of all the scholars who have acknowledged you in their writings.

There are only 2 ways to be the best. Either be the best or kill the best. Sudhir has realized that his brainchild (3-year LLB in NLS) will never be able to surpass the BALLB programme so he has decided to kill the BALLB programme.

On your first point, Sudhir will argue that better people have graduated from the 3year programme of other Universities like Ambedkar, Chandrachud who have gone on to become the greats. Sudhir was just an exception who became great after graduating from 5-year LLB.

There is a hint for all of you to solve this missing puzzle, but in order to do so, I am going to provide another missing puzzle:

I am very disappointed in all of you, as no one was able to provide a reasonable answer. Here is the next missing puzzle:

1. In 2024, the Consortium of NLUs refunded 500 INR to the accounts of PwBD candidates who had paid 4000 INR as the application fee. What prompted the Consortium to take such a deliberate step? In CLAT-2025, it reduced the application fee for PwBD candidates to be at par with that of SC/ST candidates, i.e., 3500 INR.
2. Solution: You have to find the reason behind the Consortium's action. There is a connection between NLSIU, the Consortium, and the name "AP." Now you have three things to solve—go ahead and do it!

Another one of the seemingly thousands-strong army of anti-Sudhir conspiracy theorists who seem to love this platform. What is it? Now you'll tell me University of North Bengal self-funded LLM is better than Rhodes Scholarship + BCL and DPhil in Oxford? If that were really the case, tell me:

- Why would Sudhir shut down the very programme that benefitted him? The one that was the first step in him becoming the academic he is today?

- Why would he shut down the most famous programme NLSIU has to offer - the one which is known in India and beyond?

I excitedly await the answer of a ▮▮▮ person ▮▮

My theory is that the University deliberately omitted the "Meet Our New BA LLB (Hons) Students | AY 2024–25" announcement. It is now up to the Student Bar Association of NLSIU to ask the obvious question to the University Administration: why has it refrained from making this announcement?

Sudhir is planning to shut BALLB so that the BALLBs cannot take away the limelight from LLBs. You will see similar announcements on multiple fronts. When BALLB students win something moot/nego/scholarships they post it as "a student from NLSIU". When LLB students win something, they post it as "a student from the 2nd year of LLB programme". Slowly, people will forget BALLBs and Sudhir will do good to shut this programme in his final year.

Every year, NLSIU publishes a webpage titled “Meet Our New Students | BA LLB (Hons) Programme.” However, this page appears to be missing for the academic year 2024–2025.

Furthermore, I would like to mention that I might have an answer to this missing puzzle—but I seek your application of mind. Please take this seriously, as it is very important to understand what prompted the University to take such a deliberate step.
