You can use the Report button to request a comment being marked as contested. Sometimes mods also do this unprompted when something is not possible to verify or rings untrue...
Thank you for the kind words, glad you're finding it useful. What you describe is pretty much the only reason we're still keeping this platform around so it can help in a profession where there's too much information assymetry.
mooting is not that popular in the UK, each law school has a fabulous moot court (really envious of them), however the culture is not there, you get emails from the mooting convenors but very few students turn up, cooking competitions in NLUs have more participants
Re c) Mods, please start charging- you deserve the money. Till when will you do honorary work? ELSE just use that money to fund tech on this page.
You can tell its a legal community channel, when even the MOD writes β€œnoted”. Love it, hope the platform does better!
You're right, those threads are mostly pointless and sometimes they slip through moderation. Sometimes it can be tough to moderate and decide whether something is genuine discussion / advice and at what point it starts veering off into bullshit + trolling...
I see that the mods have chosen not to respond to the original post separately, nor has the admin chosen to respond to the comment that has cited examples of specific posts and how they go against the admin's supposed goals. These are enough by way of response.
Faster moderation would be a great Start. Also threads get lost within a day and the search mechanism is pretty useless.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Toxicity or glory are not our aim, we just want LI to be a place where young and old lawyers can help each other and trade some insider knowledge and tips about the industry.

What would you actually like to see?
