Waqf land is by definition private land owned by individuals who have donated it, not Government owned. Your base itself is on a different fact!
πŸ˜‚ it shows your knowledge about waqf which ch government gave land to waqf the meaning of waqf itself means charity show me the instance where the government gave property to waqf in the name of charity
Shut up they are just regulated by the government so does the waqf according to the act of 2013 don't portray waqf isn't a regulated body
Waqf land is not donated by government. It is donated by muslims to be used for charitable purposes.
actually state governments take away gold of temples when they please and redistribute not only to hindus but use for any schemes they wish - well known example: tamil nadu govt
Very clear that none of you have read the bill and are just opposing it based of your political ideology.
Yes, non-Hindus are appointed to administer temples. Google for Firhad Hakim (powerful TMC leader) and Dakshineswar Kali temple, one of the most famous temples of Bengal.
Umm...no. Plenty of waqf property is donated by individuals too. You really should do your homework.
Umm.. the gold is donated by Hindus to the temple, unlike waqf land which was donated by government.
Lol, right. Why don't you ask redistribution of the Tirupati gold then for the betterment of poor Hindus?
Really? There are still crores worth of properties and gold owned by many Indian temples now. Where is the law to govern their distribution? Moreover, where is the law that demands non-Hindus must be involved in the decision making process for such temples and trusts?
Hindu charitable endowment acts don't have members of other religions on the governing boards. So there is a question of parity here.
The government already has 'taken away' properties owned by temples decades ago in the name of the Charitable and endowments acts. Know before you speak and stop walking on eggshells for god's sake.
Hindu temples and trusts are already controlled by the state
I say take away all the property owned by any religious organisation including temples, churches, waqf and gurdwaras. Or else start charging taxes from them like any other private entity.
Generally I don't remember anything about Waqf that we read for family law. Granted, it was a decade back, but still, it's not something many people read or bother about.
