This is your personal opinion. It may/may not be correct. So let's stick to the question which was asked. Better to reply in that context.
Why do people pursue higher education? For the same reason! Judiciary is great! But that doesn't mean i need to put a stop to my life now. Higher education gives better understanding of things. And sometimes, people have personal goals too. So there are many reasons.
Success and stagnation are two things. If your point was valid, then would be no need to introduce Prt time PhD. Everyone has different goals nd aspirations.

Thank you. But i am afraid that during the initial training period of 1 yr, it will not be possible to get even 3 weeks off for coursework. If it offers online classes, then it would be of great help. But I'll look into it.
Unethical? How? It is UGC approved. Colleges publically offer and advertise their courses like that. Amity Noida offers coursework classes on just weekends too. So what is wrong in that?
If it is totally legally permissible to get a PhD like that, there what is the harm? I am not asking for something illegal.
Leave is not given for 3-6 years duration of PhD. But only for the coursework duration, which is 6-12 months. Working official can do part time PhD. And I know there won't be any study leave, nor asking for it. Just gathering for some information about colleges.
Even they have a requirement of 7 days residency for first 2 semester.
I thought it was obvious to everyone when I wrote I won't be getting leave. And for partime PhD, for the coursework of 6 months, many colleges offer physical coursework, but few offers online coursework too.
Not looking for alternative career. Being a law student, one can pursue higher studies too, no?
Happy realisation day, it's been in that state for a while.
Calm down, I think whoever wrote that comment was just having us on. In any case, joker or troll, better to just ignore.
Youre a judge already and youre asking people how to do such an unethical thing? My god the country has gone to the dogs.
You are not a judge clearly. Stop fooling in the name of anonymity.
Is there anything more unloveable but typical about our culture than this? Someone that wants a credential without the bother of making some sacrifices, after already having achieved success in life. Why do you enjoy trophy hunting so much?
Why should you get a four year period of leave to pursue PhD while working as a government servant? Remember that study leave is paid leave
PhD is never done online. How did you clear judiciary when you don't even know the basics ? Do you know there's something called a part-time PhD as well ?
Please don't join the judiciary if you're already thinking about an alternative career. It's a disrespect to the service.
