If you were a Legal Process/Document Management/Support role at an MNC (even if it's a fortune 500 company) it's quite difficult to shift to a law firm. If you worked at a no name company or less popular company, it's difficult to shift to a law firm.
Let's say you have 1 year of experience in some recognised/elite in house teams, this switch is easier. Eg. Vedanta, Indian Oil, Bharat Petrol JSW, ICICI, Infosys, Wipro, HUL, ITC etc.
But when you have such a job - question is - are you willing to make that painful switch for that extra fat chunk of money. A tier 1 law firm job will give you endless sleepless nights and grinds you out of existence. If you worked at an elite in house team. Best option is to switch to other in house roles at Foreign HQed MNC's. Same WLB with better pay.
