I dont have much things on my CV fee internship, one or two moot and no publication as i was clear i wanted to do Judiciary. I am from Tier 2 NLU.
Problem is i dont want to anymore!! Can i switch to some Tier-1/Tier-2/Tier-3 firms in delhi in litigation department!! Can i make a switch !? Will they take me!? Thats the doubt!! How would the transition fold!?
I am fine with mediocre practice as long as i am litigating!
If this doesnt happen then i am also looking to switch to public policy!! Maybe experience as judge may count to something.
a) lower pay compared to law firms
b) judicial politics with regard to promotions
c) quality of courtrooms and court support staff
d) quality of lawyers who appear before you
I am thinking doing judicial services in the future so please do provide some detailed insights.

1. I dont see my self here 10-20 years down the line. Just want to complete 5-6 years, then get out. When i look at seniors, the overall emvironment, i dont see myself down the line in 20 years. I feel like an imposter.
2. This job is very good. It has nice pay, good working hours, work life balance is good, infact it is one of the best job in govt service apart Civil Services. But if you dream of something more then its not for you. I dream of exploring and venturing out. I dont see my life in a linear way, have dreams and hopes that i want to accomplish. Even if i dont accomplish, i would never want to regret that i didnt venture out.
3. I dont like the environment in general, its very limiting. I am very expressive. In short, its just opposite to my personality.
4. I dont wanna live in small towns forever. But its very minor point, i can live in small town all my life. Its very peaceful. But sometimes you do crave cities.
Inshort if you want nice, chilled, relaxed life, this service is gem. It has nice pay but not everyone wants that. I like the thrill of venturing out ,and figuring out what i wanna do.
There are some other factors which i dont want to indulge in.
Whats the reason!? A civil judge knows basic procedure thats all. Not to forget in most of judocial services the work is done in hindi.
