I currently am an A2 in a tier 1 b&f team in Mumbai - I am currently the POC for all major clients and am suffering from an absolute loss of a work life balance and in the last year I have logged over 2000 (yes thats correct) billable hours.
I am at a loss of words to describe the sad stuff of affairs in my team where there is little to no review of my work product, Im answerable directly to the clients and even on my days off I am expected to take calls inspite of providing a handover. My partner refuses to come on any negotiaton calls and my team has no SAs or Counsels. Yet when it comes to being adequately compensated for my role, my partner keeps telling me that this is the bare minimum in my field.
Can anyone please suggest b&f teams which actually have some sort of structure where your work is being supervised or whether the client expectations are not directly on you - I am more than comfortable switching to a smaller set up but I cannot deal with this pressure anymore
Assuming every deal has multiple security providers and 3/4 existing lenders, it’s just Mind numbing work even if you’re working on transactions
