Do you think you will be able to compete the with the marketing budgets of top tier firms? Despite the BCI regs most of them already have a Marketing Team (they are blatant about it) and spend tons.
These DSK videos disturb us because it's right on the nose but if there's a problem with non-compliance with BCI rules, then all material including these celebratory LinkedIn posts and instagram reels of practicing lawyers "educating" people equally qualify as ads/solicitation for work and should also be banned with a sweet SCN to each. I say so because you are not required to educate people, if someone does not hear you speak/read those very words you have to put, it's not like the sun won't rise again. It's basically unnecessary, conceited because the purpose to get your name out there and you tooting your own horn.
I am interested to see how it pans out for the DSK folks, I like some mirch-masala as the next guy but the issue has to be dealt with properly and holistically because the abuse, in my humble opinion, is rampant across the bar.
