I feel like shit, man—literally shit. I don't even want to think about the future. I am the problem, man. I am an idiot.

I took a drop after 12th, was a PCM eat,I became super interested in subjects of law and humanities. Gave CLAT, fumbled it. Spent time on a whole wrong question set, made some silly mistakes, became nervous because I am shit as a student and as a human.

Couldn't get into my dream college. Wanted to be in Nliu or NALSAR so bad, wanted to experience a whole-ass college life at one of these. Now my rank is 200x. Most of the NLUs I am getting are tier 3, IPU, or some tier 2 which have EWS reservation. Man, I am so frustrated. No friends around in my city, most of them went to some third-grade—I mean, yes—colleges in Indore and Bhopal.Maybe I deserve this frustration. As my mocks were going, I imagined getting a rank around 1,000s. The idea of getting into whatever college I have and then rewriting this exam is crossing my mind again and again. Also, there's the fear that I may not succeed again. And if I do, I will be entering uni at the age of 20.Just wanted to rant, to tell people what's going on in my mind—that's all.

My advice:

1. Print this post and keep it in a sealed envelope, titled "Open again in 2040".

2. Do an MBA.

3. Become an investment banker or open a startup.

4. Become a millionaire. Buy a flat in NY, London or Dubai. Mary a supermodel.

5. In 2040, open the envelope and laugh your ass off.

I’d say do it. Being a first year as a 20 year olf is really not bad. Nobody cares literally. I didnt have faith in myself and didn’t take clat again, and that is single handedly the worst decision of my life. Take a year, do you best. 1 year is nothing in the larger scheme of things. T1 NLUs are absolutely worth it.

Hi. First and foremost, relax. Take a deep breath. Have a nice, cool glass of water. Don’t worry. You will have plenty of moments like these in your future as well. But you will also have nicer moments. Remember, this too shall pass. Now, since you mentioned your interest in both the law and in humanities, you may consider applying to BA (Hons.) at NLSIU. It is a new programme but it does appear to be well-designed. I think you will enjoy it and will surely develop new interests and capabilities. Give it a try. You can still do LLB (Hons.) afterwards at NLSIU (they have reserved 10% of the seats for their BA students). Alternately, you can also prepare for CUET-UG and try getting in a good social science programme in a university like DU. Feel free to reply to this comment in case you have any further doubts.
