Marathi Mandal is indeed at a disadvantage. The college has too many elites from South Mumbai. They want to create another Xavier here.
GLC students want NLU like respect WITHOUT attending college and being a den of South Mumbai elite trash.
There are permanent faculty who are useless. One of them only fights in tribunals so that she cannot be transferred. If GLC wants to improve, it needs to get rid of such folks.
Just curious but what do these three bold vertical bars in some comments signify? Is it the work of moderators who are withholding parts of the comment?
You claim direct degree from the university without any kind of exam and regular attendance.
First of all, itโ€™s an absolute chaos what you guys are bearing. I gave clat and the consortium drama made me loose my chance there and then my plan was to give mhcet for GLC and honestly I donโ€™t have any other option left, is it really that unbearable now?

You started well in your point but then degenerated into nativism. It must be difficult to study in a college with chauvinists like you whose greatest ambition is to guard their little pond of vernacular provincialism.
Your parents must have told you that you were dropped on your head once, as a child? Well, I am here to tell you that they lied: it was several times. You wouldnโ€™t behave like a total fool, as you are doing now, if they had been truthful to you.
You must seek medical advise. You are depressed. SEE a psychiatrist as soon as possible. Please.
So, the principal is the root cause of your abysmal performance and minimal attendance. โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ ONLY complain.
You ARE โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ. YOU cleared the ENTRANCE . That is fine. You have no clue HOW TO BE good student. Every loafer blames the college principal for his or her disastrous performance and abysmal attendance. Hehehe.. โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ.

All Maharashtra domiciled students should write a letter to their local MLAs and ask them to raise the issue in Legislative Assembly.
sorry, accidentally hit SUBMIT

(continuing)โ€ฆ..and the institutional greatness of GLC is slowly withering away, just like its infrastructure (the College is going through the noisiest and longest โ€œrenovationโ€ ever). God bless us.
So we have now gone for immature, vulture-like downvoting even if someone supportive says something that is tough to hear, is it? GLC students aren't doing themselves any favours by this behaviour.
aa yes cultural committee events what i live and breathe for

Hahahaha. I was there for the lecture by Mr Dwarkadas on 28th February.

The Supreme leader of GLC was not there but โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ was there. โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ. Now, not being able to speak in English isn't a bad thing, but for a professor of a law college of all things, it is sine non qua.
Anarchy and anonymity? Even illuminati likes atleast some amount of order in society

You need to get rid of the principal. That seems to be the only objective all GLC students should collectively pursue. Write to every single alumni. Organise protests. Wear masks to hide identity, โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ
Can this not be brought to the attention of the Bombay High Court? This is an ideal case for a PIL or suo moto jurisdiction.
NLUs are also state institutions (universities). It is not about state/private discretion. It is about competence and autonomy. People whose careers are a function of their political leverage will make a mess anywhere they go.
Some one needs to publish this shit in times of india and stuff. Only way she's going to listen.
Mind you, not one but three NLUs. Is the state incompetent to change the situation - No. Do they want to change - No.

It wouldn't have harmed them to maybe cut off one of the NLUs and focus on already established college, that has rich (but farce) heritage to it.
May I know @Mods for what exact reason is this post contested. We can provide proof for each and every statement made.
GLC is a state government institution. Don't expect any positive change. That's the reason even the three MNLUs are languishing.
First, we have to start by asking about the "contested" tag on this. Can somebody in a responsible position please provide an explanation about the application of this tag to this post please? Thank you.
It is amazing that the same State that can create an NLU can also treat its legacy institutions with such malice/incompetence.
I am so sorry to ready this. What a meaningless tragedy. Nothing is more dangerous than nativism coupled with โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ.
Extremely valid points made.

She joined as principal in my last year of college and thank god I was nearly done then. I cannot begin to imagine how bad things may have gotten since then.
