I do not have money for it.
Plus I am pracitising in court. I cannot go back to studying.
But then I worked so hard for UGC exam.
I dont want to give an exam again.
They do not accept UGC scores as they are outside the purview of UGC.
You can either get JRF or PhD only. Not asst. Prof.
So no, it would not be redundant to remove LLM altogether.
Tier 1 NLUs and IITs have only amended their rules to align with UGC rules.
Rest are not aware of this rule I think
Also my JRF has a validity of 2 years. How long will I fight for this? My JRF will lapse, I need a speedy recovery.

This also feels like a bad decision which they might go back on. Anyways, I'm assuming you've done 5 years law programme, in this case, it is better to get a masters and then pursue phd for better job opportunities. If you allow phd right after ug, what's the point of a masters degree? Either remove it altogether if you feel not enough research is being done in masters or make rules around that. In any case I really don't think either NLUs or central unis would allow direct phd for law
So on the basis of that I gave NET exam and worked my ass off to secure a JRF.
Now still most of the universities are releasing PhD notifications with compulsory masters, they still have not amended their PhD rules accordingly.
Please someone advice what to do?
