I did my LLB at a Russell-Group university in the UK and am now completing my LLM at NUS in Singapore. Now, I'm thinking of coming back to take the Bridge Course at NLUD to qualify and practice in India. I'm very sure I want to go into corporate law, preferably starting at a "Tier-1" firm, but it seems very tough to break in from what I've been reading - more so, given that I don't have the benefit of placement cells, no connections whatsoever, or as many internships. Messaging partners on LinkedIn does NOT seem to be working in my favour LOL.
I did graduate with a First-Class (+ Dean's List and consistently topped throughout school) and have plenty of relevant experience (high court internship in India + insight schemes with international firms in the UK + Big 4 Singapore law firm internship + research assistant at NUS + pro bono experience in the UK + Law Review editorial board + other leadership positions throughout university). I'm still worried though ahaha...
So it would be great to hear from you guys what my chances are and what I should seriously be doing/should plan to do to improve my prospects?
