Evidence: I have studied and lived there for a few years now, work there at this time, plan to continue working there, see a (reasonably) smooth path for that ambition, absolutely celebrate every day the thought that I made the right choices in life and am surrounded by kind, thoughtful and intellectually strong people, and would drink a cup of my own piss before returning to India for work unless forced to by circumstances.
Does that mean there aren't things about the UK that I think should be changed? Of course not! Lots of stuff needs doing differently here, but "barrelling into the abyss" is total nonsense.
