Hi. No idea about NLUO but why not also apply to NLSIU? They are now also offering doctoral fellowships of β‚Ή50,000 for three years.
Exactly. NLSIU's the best place to do a law PhD in India.
Ask that to scholars who's thesis is being sat on for no reason for months.
Why don’t you tell us about this unfortunate situation in a little more detail (number of scholars affected, timeline of events, etc.) since you clearly possess first-hand knowledge about this ongoing injustice?
Around 100+ aspirants and only 1 selected. Lol. Yea it's the fault of the other 99 aspirants for not being good enough for the Harvard of the East. What a joke !!
β€œ[E]veryone is well aware that preference will be given to alumni.” Either provide the source for this or go back to your room. Thanks.
Not worth it. Since you will be left high and dry after 3 years. You will absolutely not be allowed to submit within 3 years. Then you'd end up with no fellowship and no where to go. That's how things are being played out here.
Yes, the fellowship duration could have been longer. Also, since you seem to know much about how PhD students are being treated at NLSIU, it would be appreciated if you could elaborate on that for everyone’s benefit. Thanks.
Does NLUO have good international law professors ?
Prof Sheela Rai is one of the finest International Trade and Investment Law professors in India. No matter what the people say about her administration, her pedigree speaks for herself. A normal google search would be enough.
Agreed. She is bad administrator but a fantastic scholar.
WHY ? YOU CAN'T JUST SCREEEEAM AND NOT TELL US THE REASON!!!
Not struggling to place. It is placing it's students fine. Better than almost all T2 NLUs
IITKgp requires a 2 year LLM.. therefore all NLU LLMs are automatically ineligible.
Not anymore. They are following NEP, so one can apply for a PhD on the strength of a 5-year BA LLB degree alone.
Where is it mentioned? Because the last time I contacted them, they said a 2 year LLM is required.
What if I am not good enough for the top ones ? I've given an interview everywhere and haven't gotten selected. That why tier 2-3 or private is my only option.
