Certainly forget about RML and MNLUM. Before, one might have said neck-and-neck between NLUO and HNLU. HNLU might still be an option to a certain extent, I don't know. But certainly not NLUO anymore. Therefore, go with HNLU and try CLAT again, am sure you can get into a better NLU.

RML is the best Tier 2 NLU. In the next few years, we're going to overtake NLS. I guess you guys didn’t get the memo that HCs will be recruiting judges directly from RMLNLU. Jokes aside, this is the worst NLU you can get into—there’s hardly any focus on academics. Go to any other tier 2 NLU, but stay away from this place. Lastly, people at RML aren’t oriented towards anything.

Why not try for B.A. (Hons.) at NLSIU. It is a good programme. You will share some classes with students of law as well. You will meet new and interesting people while developing and expanding your intellectual/professional interests. You will even have exclusive access to 10% of the seats in L.L.B. (Hons.) and M.P.P. after you are done with your B.A. Give it a go, dear fellow. All the best. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

True and I agree with you. I only mentioned NLSIU’s BA (Hons) programme because I assumed that OP may prefer an environment where, without directly studying law, they would still be exposed to its pedagogy and prospects while being in a position to either pursue another career after they graduate or go the route of the LLB (Hons) if they so desire. I think the same experience, if not lesser, is possible, and definitely cheaper, in doing one’s under-graduation in certain colleges of DU. The only challenge is to outlast the competition. There is also BA in Social Sciences offered by TISS Hyderabad, about which I know little.

Ultimately, what matters is good company which is capable of stimulating one’s interests and providing the opportunity to engage in meaningful action. And while we do hope that our “best” institutions are more likely to provide the same, the world is simply too large to not stumble into happy accidents in other places. I hope this will not be interpeted as an excuse for “giving-up” but only a reminder for any young person here that their life will not be finished if they did not achieve every dream of theirs. For there are still more dreams to dream, more places to go, and more good people to meet and enjoy.

NLUO should definitely be ranked higher than MNLU, as the college has been steadily improving post-COVID, especially in terms of moots and other competitions. The placement opportunities at NLUO have also been on the rise, and by the time you graduate in five years, it could emerge as the best Tier-2 NLU. This is particularly notable considering MNLU has significantly inflated fees, despite lacking its own campus.

In terms of placements, NLUO also surpasses HNLU, although not by a wide margin. However, beyond placements, NLUO excels in extracurricular activities such as moots and other competitions (as compared to other T2's)

RMNLU also has decent placement opportunities, although not as strong as those mentioned above. That said, many students at RMNLU focus on preparing for judicial services, so if that's your goal, it could be a strong choice.
