Nothing wrong in anything she said, all within the bounds of permitted free speech
Nope, it’s hinduphobic and hate speech. Also, very crass and unbecoming of a JGLS prof.
FoE includes the right to be crass. Nobody can place rules on others to be polite.

In any case she is a Hindu so her speech cannot be Hinduphobic. Just like a Muslim cannot commit Islamophobia
There are plenty of laws against hate speech. They just don't use the phrase hate speech. Offensive speech and insult to religion is criminalized, unfortunately. But what she said doesn't qualify. Gau mutra isn't sacred.
You misspelled "of" to begin with, and then went on to rephrase the comment you replied to while trying to make a counterpoint. Worrisome indeed.
Any sentence involving gaumutra should not be considered as hate speech, nothing to do with being hinduphobic as well. Sentences and words taken out of context and being used to add fuel into fire in the midst of a raging communal debate is highly dangerous.
Firstly, you really need to fix your notion- gau mutra jibes are Hinduphobic. Secondly, nothing has been taken out of context. The prof was being outrightly hateful and crass
Hinduism as a religion has got nothing to do with cow urine.
Correct. But that doesn’t take away the fact that extremists use gau mutra jibes to mock hindus
Now this could be interesting! Even a hint of scandal is always wonderful! LI, run with more threads like this and stop publishing the nonsense about weddings and stuff, and you might actually get people visiting this place again!
Why was the FIR of alleged hacking only filed after leak and not before leak of tweets (where she had lots of months to realise her alleged hacking)?
Yes, if you see the timeline of her hate tweets, hacker has mentioned her PhD in one tweet- appears that hacker and prof is the same person.
Can confirm- This professor was also copied on the email which organised the infamous pro Hamas event
Has admin taken any action against her? Some of these tweets are really disturbing
there is literally nothing "disturbing" about her tweets? care to elaborate ?
Extremely unlikely since passing crude generalisations on Hinduism is seen as a legitimate way to prove how modern and rational one is in India. It is a common affliction among the Nehruvian tribe. If anything, she is now in the good books of her peers if she was not already.
Holocaust is also old news so, by your logic, should we stop talking about it?
Knowing Professor Sanya, I don't think that's the language Professor would use in any occasion.
Clearly you do not know her well. Live and learn, babe!
On the contrary, as a current student of hers in her ethics class, I can confirm that she is very much capable of this crass content.
We do. Those who stand against hate, prejudice and bigotry do.
she should be free to say it all. But quite honestly she seems immature from this kind of internet trolling. I wouldnt bother engaging with someone who talks this way.
Mods, why has this been marked as trollish. Isn’t his factual?
As a prospective parent, I will not send my child here.
As a prospective T1 MP, I will not hire my associates from here.
This is not a leak. Leak is of hidden things. This is an EXPOSE
With this thread, the professor has officially joined the league of Prof Sameena Dalwai, Shruti Pandey and Arijeet Ghosh.
Op India! that venerable trusted source of information
Article ke underlying tweets/videos toh fabricated hai naa
Unless you disagree with the veracity of facts that have been presented in these news reports, it makes no difference who is the publisher. Do better next time.
How is it a leak, though? It is already available on a public platform.
First she is not a senior prof..she is a young assistant prof..secondly she has all right to defend herself if you are trolling her and abusing her on social media.
Nobody was trolling her or abusing her on social media. She was being hateful and crass. Also, assuming what you say is true….this right to defend doesn’t include being hateful to other communities and religions.
That is right. If you see the tweets carefully, it was her who went and picked up a fight with random people- and it was her who was being hateful and crass. What a fall for jindal!
See how the narrative has shifted from β€œaccount was hacked” to β€œshe was justified in doing it because of trolls”
Concerned faculty is also the course co-ordinator of History of Courts. As a faculty member taking this course, I can confirm that she went behind our back and engaged in the plotting of students against us.
It means that she didn’t even consult her fellow faculty before lowering academic standards- all because the students wanted it. Even then, she was complaining to the students that the rest of the faculty pool is anti students.
Kaash itne replies mujhe mere best TMT teams in Delhi wale post pe mil jate... Ig this is the point of 'legally' India- gossip :'(
Mods, why are so many comments not moderated? We need accountability.
