Back when NLS didn’t have a massive batch with domicile. The present avatar of NLS is not the same level and it’s much worse off. I’d be surprised if they produce any more of those.
Ha ha! Downvotes by jealous kids! Guys, instead of hating try and improve standards at your own law schools and reach the same heights.
What heights would that be? Serving goras and paying the highest amount of tax possible in any developed country?
Why don't you actually progress from first to second year of law school and stop failing every exam thrown at you?
I don't need your validation to justify my academic ability. You go ahead with your ass-licking.
I would have responded to that in earnest, but I doubt that your arithmetic skills are up to understanding numbers.
Nice one, but you'll need to get warmer than that!
As an Indian student reading law in the UK, the achievements of NLSIU graduates are such that they invoke patriotic pride in people like me every day.
What exactly? Have they been saving lives wherever they go?
Aww, someone is mad because people aren't buying into his propaganda.
Star-worshipping isn't the sign of superiority, not even mediocrity, merely inferiority.
That's not really the exclusive domain of NLSIU. Plenty of people from other law colleges in India have done that successfully.
"They have been showing that Indians are as capable of the highest level of intellectual and professional achievements as anybody else in the world"

Lol what? Everyone already knows that. There's no dearth of Indian doctors, scientists and CEOs in the west.
so anyone except a doctor is not worthy of being inspired by?
Classic NLSIU stan. Believe that only doctors save lives.
okay, expand the example. point remains the same. there are valid grounds to disagree with OP – this ain't one of them. lol. classic uncritical thinker
Good! These fake "patriots" need to experience pushback against their "arguments" and yours is fantastic on that front!
Truly THE Law School! Congratulations!!! ❀️❀️
V Niranjan was an exceptional genius by any standards. Very well deserved. But his alma maters (NLS/Oxford) contribution is marginal at best. It's all the persons brilliance and amazing work ethic.
It appears Niranjan may be one of the youngest (if not the youngest) to get KC in modern times. Definitely a record and should make all of us proud.
It’s because brown people feel inferior in front of better-looking goras. Mod will stupidly mark this trollish but the plain and simple reason comes down to mere looks. It’s nicer to be appreciated by a white person for most of us Indians.
Can someone who knows confirm whether being appointed as KC is what is colloquially referred to as getting the silk? If so, what does it mean effectively for someone who is already associated with a chamber?

He got Rhodes so he did not have to pay to go to London.
Yes, the Rhodes winners across the years are all down to earth first gen learners without any privilege at all.
privilege made him top the university and win all the gold medals and be chief editor of law review? cause thats what got him the rhodes.
Kind of, yes. Hard work alone doesn't cut it in this world any more.
It's not my fault you couldn't comprehend English. No comment of mine mentioned privilege as the only reason behind his success, merely an integral part of it. Your insecurity assumed the rest as well as your deep-seated penchant for ignoring privilege.
No, it was not. It started with "add privilege to that" or something similar. This establishes beyond doubt that you lack comprehension.
Didn't know that Rhodes guarantees payment for your years of stay in London.
Yes, Rhodes pays you a stipend and covers your living costs. After that, you can again get funding from Oxford for PhD and a grant from your chamber from pupillage. Stop being so salty for no reason.
Not really. Less than 10% of the students get that after their BCL. This guy was obviously an exception.
It helps you get a pupillage, where you slog for very little money until you become a barrister and then you slog more to get what this dude did pretty young. Check your bitter jealously and don't come at him unless you have facts.
So you are admitting that slogging for very little money is needed in a foreign country for this, which is made possible by privilege for some and not for others.
or by working hard, sharing apartments and being patient and focused instead of running around making random accusations out of jealousy
it gives you money for BCL, MPhil and D Phil funding follows- thats at least 5 years, maybe more. Then after that youre likely to get a job in london if you play your cards right. Which is what he did. Do you have any reason to think he comes from family wealth?
You wouldn't have been in even the middle rung given your penchant for facile assumptions. I know doing good for your own country instead of for others is uncool for the ilk of you.
Calling out privilege has always appeared as mudslinging to those who have and flaunt privilege. The only person who did ad hominem here had been you, so clearly you have failed to get any education worth speaking in that best school of the country.
