You will notice competent people leave when they know they deserve better.

Incompetency often sits in one place because they fear being tested beyond loyalty.
Money matters, but it can stop mattering after a point once you have reached a tier-1 firm / practice. You then choose culture and mostly the team / colleagues you want to work with.
People usually move due to the following reasons:

1. Dissatisfaction due to bonuses/salary

2. No growth/Lack of promotions

3. favouritism

4. Not being treated well.

5. More money being offered elsewhere
Not true, my incompetent waste of space of an SA still seems to be around.
No one enforces it. Read reasonability on restrictive covenants
How do the partners (that jump ship with the whole team) navigate the watertight non compete non solicit? Can anyone shed light on?
Looking at so many exits/ movements in the law firm circle in last 6 months, wondering what pushes these teams to move out? Is it only money or dirty politics at their current workplace?
