At least for BLR, untrue. We literally have a policy against internal publications, NLS kids have to meet a higher standard. We’ve had 2 NLS kids publish a blog in the last 8 months almost.

Don’t j say stuff without facts. Happy New Year :))
NLSIR, while on the longer end of turnaround times, is of the highest editorial quality. They were incredibly kind, rigorous, and thorough with my piece. NLSBLR, while I have no personal experience, seems to be solid too.
Backlog I can agree with but horrendous editorial quality?
Exactly they don't even have the courtesy to inform if a submission does not pass the second review
All of articles across NLS's law reviews and blogs promote a culture of academic nepotism and verbose writing. Majority of articles published show that there is a vast amount of precedence to their own students. NLS students themselves do write shoddily
nlsir literally has a horrendous backlog and is easily the worst in terms of editorial quality, cmon. :P
NLSBLR has never till date been cited by the SCI. The real deal is NLSIR and SLR - BLR is known to publish pieces that never cleared peer review (cough cough iykim;0)
Opining as someone who has published with them, the above comment is a bit of an exaggeration.

Composed of at least 2 batch and moot toppers. Can't get better.
Very snobbish. I had submitted an article for blog that they approved but did not publish as I didn't agree with some of the changes suggested. Similarly for the journal, it passed the first review and got no update after that
They used to be quite slow from what I've heard, but I recently submitted a piece and they replied within 2 weeks with a pretty helpful review. While I didn't end up getting published there, their comments were helpful for the acceptance of my piece elsewhere
They've put out a call for submissions. Thoughts on editing, speed, quality of review, peer review, etc.? Worth sending, esp recently? (journal and blog)
